No Longer Bob

Wow. After a marathon 33 hour effort, we have become the proud parents of a delightful baby girl. So, Bob the fetus is Bob no longer - she is now known as Jessica. The vital statistics:
- Born 4:40pm on Friday, 19 August 2005 by cesaerian section
- Weight 3.8 kg
- Length 50 cm
- Head Circumference 35 cm
So, without further ado, here are the obligatory baby photos. Sensibly chose not to include any more than a couple...

Here is Dad getting some quality father-daughter time while mum recovers from her general anasthetic. Normally you would use an epidural or a spinal block to perform this operation, but Mum was able to feel the incision so the doctors decided to put her to sleep instead.

Mum, Dad and Jessica sharing a Kodak moment, or possibly a Hallmark moment.

Teensy tiny little Jessica hand in Dad's fingertips.

How freakin'cool. Hope mum's ok after the whacky gas.
Congrats guys. You are da b0mb. See y'all in a week or so !
She's beautiful. And I'm not just saying that either. Fully objective, she's beautiful.
Well done all concerned !
Mikey
Squee!
Mad love to Ali and new challenger Jessica!
Get lots of rest so we can come see. Be well! *hugs*
Thanx guys,
Would you believe it Mikey, the only thing that Ali didn't have was the gas. We did pethidine, some uber-expensive stuff starting with Z that killed the nausea, some other thing starting with S to make the contractions work better, an epidural which graduated to a spinal block, and finally a general anasthetic.
I should have asked them to switch the gas on for me!!!
More than welcome to visit from Monday onwards - blat me an email if you need place, time etc.
LOL !
My brother stole some gas when the dr's weren't looking. He said it made the birth a lot easier on him.
Well work out a good time to come say howdy. Is mum in hospital for long?
