03 Jan 06 - 08 Jan 06 - GGMa Tour Part Two

Early on the 3rd, Mummy, Daddy and Jessica left Brisbane and boarded a plane for the West. This was a 41/2 hour flight. But again, Jessica was a little champion- sleeping for about 1/2 of the flight.

After arriving in the West and a brieft bit of trouble getting a hire car - they travelled another 3 hours down the coast to Busselton - there to see her other GGMa- Edna.
When we got to GGma's home, we were surprised to find more family there - Daddy's Great Aunt Beth & Ron.

Now while there we were able to get a photo of 3 Generations on Daddy's side of the family- GGMa, Daddy and Jessica.
After visiting GGma, Mummy and Daddy decided to visit some of the sights in Busselton, the most obvious one being the Jetty. On the following day- we all went for a walk down the jetty (almost 2km) Friends and family can see the video footage of that one.

A few days later (06/01/05) we drove further down the coast to visit more family and a long term friend of Daddy's mother. She gave Jessica a beautiful hand made quilt.

With RenaWith Daddy's Great Uncle SamWe also had some time to visit some of the sights while in Augusta. Here is Mummy and Jessica at the waterwheel.

Grandma has a picture of Jessica and Daddy at the waterwheel. we would have taken one of Daddy and Jessica just the same, but she is not standing yet (Post Script- we found out she can stand assisted just before we left Perth on the 8th- and only 41/2 months old!)

After a brief one night stay over with some friends in Perth, it was back on a plane to go home. we were very lucky to have the only spare seat on the plane for Jessica.

27 Dec 05 - 2 Jan 06 - GGMa Tour Part One

Most of our friends and family know that Mummy and Daddy wanted Jessica to meet her two Great Grand Mothers (GGMa's).
Part one of the trip was to Brisbane to Visit Mummy's Nan.
Jessica had never been on a plane before, so Mummy and Daddy were unsure how she would travel.
Aside from a bit of pain on descent, (until she started sucking her dummy) she travelled really well.

Jessica on her first Plane

Here is Jessica with her GGMa - AnneWe were lucky because Grandma and Grandpop decided to have a holiday in Brisbane also, so we were able to get a photo of 4 Generations on Mummy's side of the family.

Extended family meant that Mummy's Aunt and Cousin were also able to have their photo with Jessica.

While we were in Brisbane, Grandma had her birthday. We all went out for dinner to celebrate. Here is Jessica with Grandma at the birthday dinner.
And for those who were on the holiday - see she did smile while being held by Derrick- well at leat she is not crying or giving him the evil eye!

On New Years Eve we had a BBQ dinner, then the adults (minus Mummy and Daddy) went to fight with thousands of people on the river for a prime position to watch the fireworks. Here is Jessica and Mummy's cousin just before they left.

Jessica also had her first swim in the ocean while in QLD. Friends and family can see the video footage of it if they want, but here is a shot of her with Grandma in her new swimmers before going in.
So, on the 3rd, Mummy and Daddy flew out from Brisbane to the West to visit Daddy's Grandma and some other relatives there.

25 Dec 05 - 1st Christmas!

It was very exciting for all of us - Jessica's first Christmas. One year ago, Mummy had just found out she was pregnant with "Baby Bob" and all of the family were rubbing her tummy saying "Go Baby!".

This year we had Jessica with us.

Once again thatnks to our friend T's mum who gave Jessica this beautiful dress.

Unfortunately with the weather in the Capital scorching hot, she could not wear it for ling- and resorted to a singlet. She still had a great time as you can see here just after lunch.

And later on at her Great Poppy's place in the evening- Yes, that is her Grandma holding the sparkling wine up to her mouth!

With Christmas over- next would come the big cross country adventure to meet her two Great Grandmas (or GG-Mas as we like to call them).

24 Dec - Christmas Mass

Everyone knows you get new clothes for Christmas (If you don't- I highly endorse the practice!). This year, Mummy was going to buy Jessica something pretty to wear, but the mum of our friend, T. went to the USA and went CRAZY!!! buying lovely baby clothes.

This is just one of the most gorgeous baby clothes that Jessica was lucky to get.

She liked it so much that she wore it to Christmas eve mass. (Here she is with her cousin).

Thanks T's mum for sending such beautiful clothes - she will be wearing another for Christmas day.

24 Dec 05 - Big Cot

Jessica is not your average sedate 4 month old. While not yet crawling, she still moves around alot. So much that we had to move her today from her bassinet into a big cot - as she was turning sideways and getting her feet stuck through the bars.

She still turns around in the big cot - but now she does not get stuck. Now she looks small again.

23 Dec 05 - First Swim

Friends of Jessica A&T got a swimming pool just before Christmas and invited us all for a swim. This was Jessica's first time in a pool.

A&T gave her an early Christmas present- a floating pool chair.

Thanks for the great present!

19 Dec 05 - 4 Months Old

In keeping with our new tradition, we are taking a photo of Jessica every month until she is 12 months old.

Here she is at 4 months.

14 Dec 05 - Tiggr!

This outfit Mummy got for Jessica. She has worn it 3 times now, and only been able to keep it on for any length of time one of those outings - due to BNI* incidents.

It is so cute, and Mummy likes Tigger!
